Tomas Tatar has been on fire for the Red Wings as of late. Tats has recorded four goals in his past five games, and now leads the club with 16. Tatar is only three goals off of his pervious career high of 19 goals from a season ago. See if Tatar can continue his hot streak tonight as the Red Wings face-off in Edmonton.

He's today's 'Hot Wing" by Buffalo Wild Wings!

Pavel Datsyuk
The Red Wings jumbled the lines up this morning, with Pav centering a line with Weiss and Darren Helm.

Weiss said he's excited to play with Datsyuk.

Henrik Zetterberg
Zetterberg, Kronwall, and Quincey all were doing off-ice workouts at the rink and didn't skate, but are expected to be in the lineup tonight.

It sounds like we'll be playing with the same crew, just
different line combos up front. Defensive pairs look the same.

Viktor Fasth looks like the starter for the Oilers.

Score first - It's hard to play catch up hockey and Detroit has gone six games without scoring first. Get the lead and go from there.

Set the pace - It's usually a fast track here in Edmonton, ice conditions are great, so skate, move the puck and dictate the play from the opening faceoff.

Be road warriors - The Wings have dropped three of their last four road games, and with 16 of the next 22 on the road, it's critical for Detroit to get points and win away from home.

Detroit begins the Alberta stretch of its six-game road trip with games on consecutive nights against the Oilers and Calgary Flames. The Red Wings will attempt to rebound from a 4-1 loss Saturday to the Vancouver Canucks to start the trip. "I don't think that there's any panic in here," said Henrik Zetterberg  "I think we know what we can do. We know we are a good team when we do the right stuff, we've just gotta do it."

Tonight the Reed Wings will face an Edmonton team that has collected points in four straight games. Last season, Detroit swept the Oilers in the two games they faced each other, winning 5-0 in Edmonton, and a 2-1 shootout victory at the Joe.  Look for Tomas Tatar to continue his success against Edmonton, as he has four goals in the past five games and 16 on the season, three off his career high established in 73 games last season. Jimmy Howard is expected to go tonight for the Red Wings.
