It was a lighter morning skate today, but all healthy scratches and IR players (minus Eaves) skated.

Darren Helm was on the ice, as he, Tootoo, Tatar, and Lashoff all took shots on Gustavsson after morning skate.

"We've played Boston twice already (in preseason) but this is the first time it counts. It'll be fun, it's a great opportunity for us."
- Mike Babcock

"It's about how mentally tough you are... sticking to your plan, doing it right...Tonight should be a good test for our team and we're looking forward to it."

Be Mentally Tough - It's our third game in four nights, so the Wings need to have the strong will to win, especially coming off an emotional win last night.

Score on the Power Play - Detroit is 0-for-6 with a man advantage through two games; they'll need to make the most of their chances tonight to beat the Bruins.

Win the Physical Battles - Boston's a strong, abrasive team. The Wings have to find a way to get the puck and make things happen in the offensive zone.

After a 3-2 overtime win at the Carolina Hurricanes, the Detroit Red Wings visit the Boston Bruins for the first time since 2011.

Last night was certainly an emotional win for the Wings, one that saw Henrik Zetterberg tie the game with just 17 seconds to go. Minutes later, Stephen Weiss scored his first with the Red Wings in OT, a victory Detroit will look to build off of tonight.

"This gives us a big boost of energy going into Boston against a good hockey club," said Weiss. "We're going to have to be ready for them."

These Original Six teams face off tonight for the first time as division rivals at the TD Garden in Boston.
