Get Off to a Fast Start - The Red Wings finished well against Calgary applying all kinds of pressure and had a chance to tie it with seconds left. They'll need to dictate the play early against the Canucks.

Generate Offense - Spend time in the offensive zone. Cycle well, get second and third opportunities, and have that much needed net front presence.

Play With Desperation - Time is running out; there's only 5 games left. Detroit needs to win games, plain and simple. A lot is on the line and they have to come out and play like there is no tomorrow. Compete hard and play to win.

Game 6 thanks to Nick Lidstrom's shorthanded game-winner and a Chris Osgood shutout.

After little help from the hockey gods in Calgary on Wednesday, the Wings will head to Vancouver with 2 huge points on the line. Detroit has had the Canucks' number this year, winning 8-3 at The Joe in February, then a 5-2 trouncing in B.C. last month. Tonight, the Wings will go for the trifecta in hopes of reclaiming the eight seed in the West.
