Henrik Zetterberg has been hot all season, leading the team with 34 points so far, and notching at least one point in each of his three games played since returning from a back injury.

Z has also been hot throughout his career against the Stars, scoring 42 points and holding a +23 rating in just 36 career games against Dallas, and recording three assists when the Wings and Stars met November 7.

He's Detroit's 'Hot Wing' by Buffalo Wild Wings!

Danny DeKeyser

Danny DeKeyser is likely out tonight with a lower-body injury, but considers it a "day-to-day thing."

Alexey Marchenko will make his NHL debut in DeKeyser's absence.

"I don’t know much about (Marchenko), but he played in the KHL, so he’s a real good player, he had a good camp. Every time I call down to Grand Rapids they say he’s their best guy."

Patrick Eaves suffered a dislocated jaw after a dirty hit by Lopul in the Classic, but will play tonight with a full shield.

Get Through their Defense - The Stars' top two defensemen are out with injuries. Detroit needs to take advantage of that.

Play as a Five-Man Unit - Support the puck, trust your teammates and cover up for each other.

Win the Special Teams Battles - The Stars are 28th on the PP and 21st on the PK in the NHL. The Wings have to capitalize when they get a man-advantage. The PP could determine who wins tonight.

Detroit is still hampered by a glut of injuries. Three lineup regulars are on injured reserve and several others are dealing with issues that keep them questionable from game to game. Detroit called up rookie defenseman Alexey Marchenko for the start of a four-game road trip because Danny DeKeyser is battling a groin issue.

In their most recent game, the Red Wings dropped a 3-2 game in a shootout against the Toronto Maple Leafs in front of more than 105,000 snow-covered fans at the 2014 NHL Bridgestone Winter Classic, held New Year's Day at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Red Wings fell to 1-7 in shootouts this season and have lost 12 of their past 13 shootouts when including last season's results.

"I was really mad," forward Tomas Tatar, who lost the puck off his stick during his attempt, told MLive.com's Ansar Khan. "Maybe I should have tried something simpler instead of trying to stick-handle. Maybe I should have gone down and shot it, but that's not my style. I like to stick-handle a bit."

Tonight, the Wings will look to get back on the right track in Dallas.
