Babcock

"It was good for us, a good win for us, a hard fought win."
- Mike Babcock

Today's 2-1 win against Edmonton was everything a hockey game should be: exciting, fast-paced, intense, and very fun to watch. Even though the Wings only scored twice, they easily could have had five or six if it weren't for a phenomenal game by Nikolai Khabibulin. Nevertheless, the Wings scored enough to win and improve to 6-4-1.

Thanks for tuning in to our Game Day Blog...we'll see you tomorrow when we take on the LA Kings at 12:30 PM in Motown!

Don't Get into a Run-and-Gun Game
- The Oilers are a good skating club and they can burn their opponents with a north-south type of game.

Get Off to a Good Start - Day games can be tough, especially coming off an emotional victory like in St. Louis. The Wings need to feed off the crowd and come out with intensity.

Take Advantage of the Homestand - The Wings play their next four games at The Joe. It's a great opportunity to get some points and move up in the standings, and it all starts with today.
