Pavel Datsyuk has been red hot all season, currently leading the team with 13 goals and sitting second with 25 assists. He's also been great against Anaheim throughout his career, notching 39 points in 38 regular season games and playing a key role in last year's playoff run against the Ducks.

He's Detroit's 'Hot Wing' by Buffalo Wild Wings!

Avoid a Race to Five - In other words, the Wings need to check, play a tight game, and get solid goalkeeping a all night. Play well in their own zone.

No Early Christmas Presents - Limit the turnovers, especially in the defensive zone.

Get to the Inside - Prime scoring chances come from in front of the net. Detroit will need to get there and get second and third scoring opportunities, as well.

Detroit has center Pavel Datsyuk back from a seven-game absence following a concussion, but the Red Wings are still without captain Henrik Zetterberg (back), goalie Jimmy Howard (sprained knee), defenseman Danny DeKeyser(shoulder) and three other forwards, including Johan Franzen and Justin Abdelkader (concussion protocols). Franzen left Detroit's game Sunday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning early in the second period after being hit in the face by defenseman Radko Gudas.

Rookie Tomas Jurco, Detroit's second-round pick in the 2011 NHL draft, made his NHL debut against the Lightning and the Red Wings have called up center Riley Sheahan from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League to replace Franzen.

"Normally, and I say this all of the time, someone else gets an opportunity," coach Mike Babcock said. "We’re running out of guys to get opportunities."

Tonight, the banged up boys in red will look to top a rolling Anaheim Ducks team.
