Stephen Weiss played in his first game back from injury, second this season, Monday night and what a comeback it was! Weiss scored two goals less than five minutes apart to help the Red Wing beat the Ottawa Senators 4-3. "Gobble" up some early goals - The Flyers haven't won on the road in their last five games. Start fast and don't give them any life.

No "parade" of penalties - Stay out of the box. The Flyers have the 7th best power play in the league.

Ride the "gravy" train - The Red Wings have won three of their last four games. Play a complete game tonight a keep rolling!

The Red Wings are coming off another home win against Ottawa, improving their home record to 7-2-2. Tonight, the Philadelphia Flyers fly into town on Thanksgiving Eve for their second match up with the Detroit this year. Philly took the first game 4-2, Flyers forward Michael Raffl scoring two goals and an assist. It was the first home victory of the season for Philadelphia, which won two of three games against Detroit last season. Pavel Datsyuk, who has missed the past four games could return tonight, but his availability will be determined after today's morning skate. Forward Stephen Weiss scored two goals Monday in the Red Wings' win against the Ottawa Senators in his return from a groin injury that held him out for all but one of the Red Wings' first 20 games.

“I was a little shaky after that on the bench, but it was good to get a couple pucks laying around there for me tonight, nice to see them go in,” Weiss added. “Our line played hard, didn’t have a ton of looks out there, but it was nice to get a couple of goals and get some confidence going.”

The Red Wings power-play has really come around since the last time these two teams have met. Prior to Oct. 31, Detroit was 3-for-34 on the power play. Since then, they've gone 12-for-40 in the past nine games, which is a 30 percent success rate that they will hope to keep alive tonight. Jimmy Howard will get the nod tonight against Philadelphia.
