Gustavsson

Jonas Gustavsson will be between the pipes for Detroit tonight.

"Gustavsson's got to come to the party. He's got to play for us...He gets an opportunity, he has to make good on it."
- Mike Babcock

Coach Babcock said the same 6
defensemen will be in the lineup tonight.

Damien Brunner will play tonight after
being a healthy scratch last night.

Brunner

LaBarbera

The Wings won't have to face Mike Smith in goal tonight (upper-body injury), so Jason LaBarbera will be in net for Phoenix.

Todd Bertuzzi did skate again today, but is now dealing with pain in his leg and is having difficulty skating.

Bertuzzi

Jarnkrok

One of the Wings' top prospects, Calle Jarnkrok, will play 9 games for the Grand Rapids Griffins this season, then return to Sweden.

Ken Holland wants Jarnkrok to get a taste of North American hockey before competing for a sport with Detroit before next season.

Weather the Storm
- The Coyotes have been off since Thursday; Detroit has played 2 intense games vs Anaheim in the last 3 nights. The first 10 minutes will be critical, so the Wings need to come out with energy and try to control the tempo.

Continue to Connect On The Power Play - The Wings have a Power Play goal in their last 6 games. I expect this game to be tight, so a PPG could be the difference.

Avoid Turnovers - Phoenix takes advantages of mistakes; be patient and protect the puck.
