Babcock

"We're not going away here...we're going to continue to battle and keep getting better and better." - Mike Babcock

After a convincing 5-3 victory last night over the Blues, the Red Wings jumped on a plane to Columbus. Tonight, they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena, the place where just two weeks ago, Damien Brunner's jaw-dropping shootout goal gave the Wings their first win this year.

Welcome to the Detroit Red Wings Game Day Blog, where you can get behind-the-scenes information, thoughts from players and staff, and up-to-date news on anything and everything Red Wings on game day.

You can watch tonight’s 7:30 PM game on Fox Sports Detroit, or tune in on 97.1 The Ticket or AM1270.

Play Physical
- The Red Wings need to bang with the Blues, but be disciplined enough to stay out of the Penalty Box.

Raise the Intensity - In the first game against St. Louis, the Blues were more competitive than the Wings, so they'll need to take it up a notch tonight.

Get Out to an Early Lead - The Wings have played 6 first periods this year without a goal, so they'll need to feed off the crowd, and try to get on the board first.
