Detroit kicks off a four-game home stand as they host the St. Louis Blues this afternoon in the Motor City. Datsyuk is questionable after missing the past two games with a lower body injury. Datsyuk's injury isn't considered serious and he was to be examined on Saturday to determine his availability Sunday. The Red Wings have lost six of their past eight games. Despite the recent slide, coach Mike Babcock sees positive signs. "The last three games were encouraging for me," Babcock said. "We've started to skate better. For a while there after the trip, we didn't skate at all, we didn't move. It looks to me like our energy is back."

Welcome to the Detroit Red Wings Game Day Blog, where you can get behind-the-scenes information, thoughts from players and staff, and up-to-date news on anything and everything Red Wings on game day.

You can watch today's 12:00 PM match-up on NBC, or listen in with Ken Kal and Paul Woods on 97.1 The Ticket.
