Get started - This didn't happen last night. Be ready to go at the drop of the puck. Be engaged early.

Tighten up - Lightning has the best goal scoring average in the NHL. 3.21 goals per game. Need to keep them to the outside and limit their scoring chances.

Win the goaltending battle - Howard needs to be sharp. Make the big saves to keep the team in the game. Red Wings need to give him goal support as well.

Detroit has lost five of its past seven games and is six points behind Tampa Bay for second place in the Atlantic Division following a 3-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on Thursday. "We took a step forward against Pittsburgh," captain Henrik Zetterberg said. "We didn't play bad [against Florida], we just have to come back strong Friday." Tonight, in a possible first round playoff preview, Detroit will face Tampa Bay as they search for their first win against the Lightning. Tampa got the better of Detroit in a 4-3 shootout win back in November, and won a 5-1 decision at Amalie Arena on January 29th. Jimmy Howard will be back manning the goal tonight after Mrazek got the call last night and Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Marek Zidlicky has been on fire since joining the Red Wings blue line. Zid recorded his first three-point night as a Red Wing last Sunday with a goal and two assists as he improves his stats to 3 goals, 4 assists in the Winged Wheel. Marek has also been huge on the Red Wing's power play unit, scoring all 3 of his goals with the man-advantage.

He's Detroit's 'Hot Wing' by Buffalo Wild Wings!
