The Mule is one of the NHL's streakiest players and right now, he's scorching hot! Since coming back from injury, Franzen's number has been all over the stat sheet with 5 points in 5 games (2 goals, 3 assists). Both goals came on the man advantage, which has also been on a roll for the Red Wings, thanks to 93.

He's Detroit's 'Hot Wing' by Buffalo Wild Wings!

"Jurco is a big, strong, young kid who can really skate and who's strong with the puck. We expect him to go out there with confidence and play hard."

Datsyuk will center the first line with Abdelkader and Jurco.

Looks like Mike Babcock is keeping all the

Dictate the play - The Red Wings are well rested after four days off. They should have no trouble getting off to a fast start.

Limit time and space - Don't allow Chicago to use their speed and skill, especially in the neutral zone.

Play solid on special teams - The power play is coming along now and the penalty kill has been good all season. That'll need to continue tonight against a good Chicago team.

Gordie Howe becomes the NHL’s all-time goal scoring leader, including playoffs.  It was Howe’s 627th goal, surpassing the mark of 626 set by Maurice Richard.

After having a four day lay off, the Red Wings play host to the Blackhawks on their lone trip to The Joe this year.

“It was obviously nice having some days off to rest and relax but once the puck drops we gotta be ready to play. That's gonna be tough but just gotta focus a little more during warm-ups and get prepared.” Center Riley Sheahan said. “The thing we've been struggling with is coming out slow and having to come from behind."

Detroit hopes to see Pavel Datsyuk back in the line up as he was out the past two games with a sore groin. Datsyuk should help keep the power play on track as Detroit has scored multiple power play goals in the past three games.

Last season, the two clubs split their season series, with the Red Wings winning at home in a shootout and Chicago winning in regulation at the United Center.
