Justin Abdelkader continues to stay hot as of late. Abby has now scored 5 goals in 5 games and doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon. Abdelkader is having a career year playing on a line with Henrik Zetterberg and Erik Cole, and now has 18 goals and 18 assists for the 2014-15 campaign.

He's Detroit's 'Hot Wing' by Buffalo Wild Wings!

Play a complete game - This means play well in all areas. Be in attack mode on offense, be responsible in the defensive zone and Howard needs to be sharp between the pipes.

No gifts - Limit turnovers. Make the Flyers work for everything. Protect the puck.

Play fast - This happens when you play as a group. Support the puck and move it well.

Gordie Howe becomes only the second player in NHL history to score 500 career points. He did so against Gump Worsley of the New York Rangers.

The Red Wings open a four-game road trip starting with a matinee match-up against the Philadelphia Flyers. Detroit will look to put an end to their recent skid, dropping three of the last four games, with Jimmy Howard between the pipes. Howard, in his sixth season as an NHL goaltender, will play at Wells Fargo Center for the first time in his career.

“The fans are nuts, they take it to another level," said Howard, "They never stop yelling at the opposing team. It makes for a great atmosphere, it’s fun."

This will be the third and final meeting between the two clubs this season with each team winning on home ice. Brayden Schenn scored the game-winning power play goal of a 4-2 Flyers win Oct. 25 in Philadelphia. Pavel Datsyuk had two goals in a 5-2 Red Wings win Nov. 26 at The Joe.
