Henrik Zetterberg has been on fire as of late, and it's not from scoring goals. Z has been setting his teammates up like a mad-man recording 7 assists in four games! Justin Abdelkader's recent 4 goals in four games stretch has a lot to do with the sauce Zetterberg has been serving up. Look for Z to drop a few more dimes tonight against Columbus and maybe even put one in the back of the net.

He's Detroit's 'Hot Wing' by Buffalo Wild Wings!

Get rid of the blah's - That's how the team described their last few games. Play with energy and intensity and get into playoff mode. There's only 17 games left in the schedule.

Take advantage of the power play - Detroit is first in the NHL in the power play department. They have scored 59 PPG this season. Columbus in only 79.3% on the penalty kill.

Play as as five-man unit - Support the puck play together and trust your teammates.

Detroit is coming off a Monday night 5-2 victory against the Edmonton Oilers and now has 85 points and is solidly in position to qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs in the Eastern Conference. The Red Wings are seven points ahead of the fourth-place Boston Bruins and five behind the Tampa Bay Lightning for second. Tonight, Columbus comes to town with a long list of health issues, and on pace to surpass 500 man-games lost. This will be the third and final match-up between these two former division rivals this season. Detroit won the first meeting 5-0, and dropped a 1-0 shootout loss at Joe Louis Arena. Jimmy Howard, tonight's starter, has saved the 57 shots he faced in the two games.
