Play a complete game - The Red Wings can't have any lulls against Florida, as the Panthers don't give you a lot. Detroit will need a strong effort for a full sixty minutes.

Keep scoring - Detroit's scored five goals in each of their last three games. Continue to get to the front of the net and get pucks there, too.

Win the goaltending battle - Jimmy Howard's played great so far this year. He'll need to be better than Roberto Luongo tonight.

The Red Wings defeat the Canadiens, 11-1, at the Montreal Forum, making it Detroit’s most lopsided victory ever over the Habs. It was Patrick Roy’s final game in a Canadiens’ uniform.

The Red Wings enter tonight's contest riding a four-game win streak while being ranked 4th in the NHL in goals per game and penalty-kill percentage. However, Detroit will have to go for their fifth straight win without one of their top forwards, Justin Abdelkader, after he injured his shoulder against the Canucks.

Coach Mike Babcock called Abdelkader's injury a big loss. "He's an important player for us," said Babcock. "He's a guy who works hard every day, in my opinion, and brings it most every day." While Abdelkader's absence will be felt, the Red Wings are no strangers to playing shorthanded, and as Babcock often says, it gives other players opportunities to step up. Tonight, Mule will step in for Abby on the first line, playing alongside Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg, as we go for our fifth straight win.
