Start On Time - The Red Wings are rested. Boston played an overtime game yesterday. Take advantage of this from the opening face off. Detroit needs to get off to a good start and dictate the play to the Bruins.

Play Fast - Boston will try to play physical and slow the game down. Need to make the Bruins skate. Move the puck and play fast.

Win the Goaltending Battle - Jonas Gustavsson needs to outperform Rask and be ready to start on time.

Detroit will head to Boston after going 1-1 on their most recent homestand. In hopes to get things going offensively, forward Teemu Pulkkinen is expected to play after being called up from Grand Rapids. Also, Mike Babcock will place Luke Glendening on the top line with Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Tatar. "We're a team that needs to bounce back," Babcock said, "I felt our energy at practice was the best we've had in a bit. We haven't had good energy the last little bit, so I'm hoping the energy is back." Backup goalie, Jonas Gustvsson is expected to start in goal.
