Detroit will start the California stretch of their road trip starting tonight in Anaheim, after one of the most bizarre endings to a game this season Saturday night in Dallas. The Red Wings rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period Saturday to tie the game, only to again fall behind by two, again tie the game, and finally win 7-6 in overtime, becoming the first team since 1934 to trail by two in the third period, tie the game, trail by two again, and then win. "For the fans it was probably fun to watch," said defenseman Niklas Kronwall. "For players and coaches, there wasn't a lot of pretty things out there. … Tonight we got lucky, crawled back into the game and found a way to get two points. That's pretty much all you can say."

Detroit also lost captain Henrik Zetterberg Saturday and Teemu Pulkkinen was held out of practice Sunday afternoon with a possible leg injury. "I don't know if we'll make any decisions until tomorrow," general manager Ken Holland said regarding Zetterberg. That being said, Detroit will look at avenge a 3-2 loss against the Ducks at The Joe back in early October, and will look to take their third straight on the road. Jimmy Howard will be between the pipes.
