Start on time - Be ready to compete when the puck drops. Carry the momentum from the Chicago victory into tonight's game.

Need a balanced attack - All four lines need to be clicking and contributing offensively.

Win the special teams battle - The power play needs to execute and be strong. The penalty killers need to continue to shut down the Stars' PP. Special teams play could be a factor in tonight's game.

Tonight marks the second of a six-game road trip for Detroit as they are set to face-off with Dallas at American Airlines Center. The Red Wings got off to a successful start Wednesday with an emotional shootout victory in Chicago, 3-2. Tonight will be the second and final meeting of the year between the Stars and Red Wings, as Darren Helm scored twice and Howard made 22 saves back in early December in a 5-2 victory at The Joe.

Detroit recalled Jakub Kindl from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League, where he was halfway through a four-game conditioning assignment. "He’s just got to go back and execute with the puck,” Babcock said. “He’s real good when he’s got the puck looking up ice. If he does that, we’re happy.” Defenseman Kyle Quincey left practice Friday with an undisclosed leg injury, Quincey is questionable for  tonight's game.
