Buffalo Wild Wings Hot Wings

When you're hot, you're hot and right now Tomas Tatar is scorching! Last night, Tatar scored two goals and added an assist in route to his first 20-goal season in the National Hockey League. Tats has six points in his past four games (4 goals, 2 assists) and will look to continue his success against Buffalo tonight.

Be on the attack - Our offense needs to pick up  where they left off last night. Take the play to the Sabres and spend more time in their zone.

Take advantage while on the power play - Red Wings have 41 power play goals, best in the NHL. Make them count while on the power play.

Play big in the defensive zone - Forwards need to back check, defensemen need to keep the Sabres to the outside and Mrazek needs to continue his strong play between the pipes.

Detroit is coming off a big win last night as they topped Nashville 5-2. Tatar scored twice and had an assist to lead the Red Wings to their third straight win. Tatar reached the 20-goal plateau for the first time in his career; he had 19 goals in 73 games last season.

"I'm not really thinking about it right now, but obviously I'm happy I did it and hopefully I'll keep scoring and help the team pick up wins," Tatar said. "Right now I don't realize it. I took it as just another game and we won and that's the big thing right now."

Tonight, Detroit will face-off against the Sabres for the fourth and final time of the year. The Red Wings are 2-0-1 against the Buffalo Sabres, including a 3-1 win at First Niagara Center on Tuesday. Petr Mrazek, who made 34 saves last night, will get the start again tonight.
