Detroit begins the Alberta stretch of its six-game road trip with games on consecutive nights against the Oilers and Calgary Flames. The Red Wings will attempt to rebound from a 4-1 loss Saturday to the Vancouver Canucks to start the trip. "I don't think that there's any panic in here," said Henrik Zetterberg  "I think we know what we can do. We know we are a good team when we do the right stuff, we've just gotta do it."

Tonight the Reed Wings will face an Edmonton team that has collected points in four straight games. Last season, Detroit swept the Oilers in the two games they faced each other, winning 5-0 in Edmonton, and a 2-1 shootout victory at the Joe.  Look for Tomas Tatar to continue his success against Edmonton, as he has four goals in the past five games and 16 on the season, three off his career high established in 73 games last season. Jimmy Howard is expected to go tonight for the Red Wings.

Start early - The team arrived early to adjust to the time change so it shouldn't be a problem for the legs to get going. Need to compete from the drop of the puck.

Shoot the puck -The Canucks have given up 103 shots in their past three games. Ryan Miller though has been tough against the shot barrage with a .942 save % in his past 3 games. Need a lot of shots to score. The chances should be there.

Hang tough - Play a disciplined game as a five man unit. Take advantage of opportunities and play well in front of Jimmy Howard.
