After having a four day lay off, the Red Wings play host to the Blackhawks on their lone trip to The Joe this year.

“It was obviously nice having some days off to rest and relax but once the puck drops we gotta be ready to play. That's gonna be tough but just gotta focus a little more during warm-ups and get prepared.” Center Riley Sheahan said. “The thing we've been struggling with is coming out slow and having to come from behind."

Detroit hopes to see Pavel Datsyuk back in the line up as he was out the past two games with a sore groin. Datsyuk should help keep the power play on track as Detroit has scored multiple power play goals in the past three games.

Last season, the two clubs split their season series, with the Red Wings winning at home in a shootout and Chicago winning in regulation at the United Center.

Nyquist tied the game up in the third with a beauty, but the Red Wings ultimately lose in a shootout 4-3. Franzen and Helm both added power play goals in the effort.

Jakub Kindl has been solid manning the blue line all year and it's starting to show on the stat sheet. Kindl has two power-play goals in as many games and is playing with confidence. He now has four points on the season (2 goals, 2 assists) and looks to add to that tonight vs. the Bolts.

He's today's 'Hot Wing' by Buffalo Wild Wings!

Take away their time and space - The Lightning can score. Limit their scoring chances by not allowing them time to set up.

Need solid goalkeeping - Howard needs to be sharp and continue his very good play. He's allowed 2 goals or less in 5 straight starts and might need to make it six against Tampa.

Score - Two goals probably won't be enough to win. The Wings need to get traffic in front of the net and convert when there's a Grade-A chance.
