Henrik Zetterberg has been red hot this season. Leading the team with 38 points in just 37 games, he has been vital to the Red Wings success all year long. In addition to being exceptional this season, he's also been great against the Blues throughout his whole career, scoring a total of 65 points in 58 career games against St. Louis.

He's today's 'Hot Wing' by Buffalo Wild Wings!

Start on Time - That means compete hard from the opening faceoff. The Blues have scored 166 goals this season. Detroit can't afford to fall behind.

Get Solid Goalkeeping from Howard - It sounds like a broken record, but with all the injuries to key people, the goalie needs to be on the top of his game yet again.

Take Away the Blues Time and Space - The Wings can't give them any room on the ice. They need to be all over them like a cheap suit!

It was almost certainly a lucky goal, but it might’ve been just the break Detroit needed. With a laundry list of injuries and an sub-.500 home record, the Red Wings’ chances against Los Angeles appeared slim. When Los Angeles scored a go-ahead goal with 2:15 remaining, that fate was confirmed.

Until it wasn’t. The Red Wings drew a late penalty and with 27 seconds left, Niklas Kronwall’s deflected shot flew into the mesh, bounced back into play, off goalie Jonathan Quick’s back and into the goal. The game eventually went to a shootout, where Tomas Tatar sealed it for the Red Wings.

The Red Wings may need a few more breaks with upcoming home games against St. Louis, the Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens and the Florida Panthers.

“Really big homestand, we got some great teams coming in here,” goalie Jimmy Howard told the team’s website. “It’s going to take 60 minutes or more these next four games.”

Tonight, the Wings will go for two in a row when they host the Blues.
