Find ways to score - Toronto gave up a ton of shots last season. Detroit will get their opportunities tonight. Find ways to convert on those chances.

Get into their D - Play in the Leafs' zone. Get the puck in deep, cycle, and make Toronto's defensemen workload all night. Force them to turn the puck over.

Win faceoffs - Winning faceoffs means you have the puck and you control the play. The Wings need to be better tonight in this area.

After suffering a 3-2 shootout loss against Boston in Detroit on Wednesday, the Red Wings will look to bounce back in the first of back-to-back games against the Maple Leafs. The good news is forward Gustav Nyquist keeps providing offense in the absence of injured two-way center Pavel Datsyuk (shoulder). He's doing it despite coach Mike Babcock flip-flopping him and forward Justin Abdelkader between the top line and third line. Nyquist was bumped to the third unit against Boston mid-game, but scored a goal on a power play to give him a goal in all three of Detroit's games. Including the 2013-14 regular season, Nyquist has 26 goals in his past 37 regular-season games. Nyquist will look to continue his torrid pace as the Wings look to squeak one out tonight in Toronto.

The Red Wings battled the Bruins into overtime thanks to the play of Jimmy Howard. Howard faced 39 shots, saving 37, and earned the praise of his teammates and head coach for obtaining a point for the club. Tomas Tatar and Gustav Nyquist both put the Red Wings on the board; however, despite taking the game into sudden death overtime, the Red Wings lost in the shootout; Boston 3, Detroit 2.
