Power Play - Score with a man advantage. The Wings are 0/8 this year on the PP; get set up and have sustained pressure in O-Zone.

Get Shots through to Goalie - Lots of shots were blocked in the first few games; Detroit has to get shots on Mike Smith and generate more opportunities to score.

Stay Out of the Box - Boston scored twice on the PP last game. The Wings need to stay disciplined and stay away off the PK.

After winning their first two games of the season, the Red Wings fell to the Boston Bruins 4-1 on Saturday. While Detroit was clearly showing fatigue playing their third game in four nights, they were quick to put it behind them and keep looking forward, with typical Red Wing-esque poise.

"We know what it's going to take," Howard said. "We've been through these [kinds of games] for years. It's early in the season, there's no reason to get down about it, beat yourself up. Put it behind you and get ready for Phoenix."

Tonight, they'll look to bounce back and improve their record to 3-1 as the Phoenix Coyotes come howling into town. After five days off, Detroit should be rested and ready to bounce back.

Welcome to the Detroit Red Wings Game Day Blog, where you can get behind-the-scenes information, thoughts from players and staff, and up-to-date news on anything and everything Red Wings on game day.

You can tune in to tonight's 7:30 PM ET game on Fox Sports Detroit or NHL Network, or listen in with Ken Kal on AM1270.
