Playing in career game No. 1,000, forward Kirk Maltby was a plus-1 in more than 10-minutes of ice time in the WIngs' 2-1 win, ironically over the Los Angeles Kings at Joe Louis Arena.

Reed Larson becomes the first Detroit defenseman to record five points (three goals and two assists) in one game as the Wings beat Vancouver 11-5.
