Morning Skate Update

Kyle Quincey will be a healthy scratch tonight.

“The team needs wins, that's the most important thing. My focus goes to the next game and just do everything in my power to get ready and get the two points in Calgary.”
- Kyle Quincey told Ansar Khan

Brendan Smith will take Quincey’s spot in the lineup.

The Red Wings will send Brian Lashoff to Grand Rapids to get some games in.

“We're sending Lash down not because he hasn't been good, he's been excellent. I don't want a young kid not playing.”
- Mike Babcock told Khan

Jimmy Howard is playing tendy tonight.

Henrik Zetterberg did not practice this morning, but will play tonight.

Mikael Samuelsson skated for a bit after practice.

Todd Bertuzzi skated with the team this morning, working with the top two lines.

Bert told Khan that he was hoping to return by next week.

“I've gone at least a couple days skating where I haven't felt the pain I've been having. Hopefully, it stays that way.“
- Todd Bertuzzi

Darren Helm was also on the ice working with the bottom two lines.
