DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings defeated the Dallas Stars by a score of 3-0 at American Airlines Arena Saturday night, securing a spot in the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs in the process. Detroit has now extended its franchise-record to 22 consecutive post-season berths, a mark which also stands as the fifth-longest streak in NHL history and the longest active streak in all of North American major professional sports.
