Red Wings OneGoal Night
DETROIT -- The Red Wings have joined forces with the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association and OneGoal to promote the growth of youth hockey in Michigan. The team will host OneGoal Night on Wednesday, November 7 when the Red Wings take on the Nashville Predators at Joe Louis Arena. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. game.

Captain Nicklas Lidstrom serves as the Red Wings spokesman for the OneGoal initiative, which aims to gain awareness and grow the sport of hockey with children four to eight years old.

The first 500 adults through the doors with a child under 12 at Wednesday’s game will receive free admission coupons for the OneGoal Hockey Show taking place November 9-11 at Cobo Center.

Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe, will serve as the honorary chairman of the third annual event. The show will feature a Hockey Hall of Fame display, silent auction, product demonstrations, and a variety of seminars.

In addition, participants in the Red Wings youth hockey program will wear OneGoal jerseys. Mite members of the Farmington Hills (Mich.) Fire and Oakridge Arrows (Oakridge, Ontario) will showcase their breakaway skills during the first intermission shoot-out.
