Since its inception in 1971-72, the CCHA has grown in stature from a collection of fledgling hockey programs to the most respected conference in the nation on the ice, off the ice and behind the bench.
The Midwest Elite AAA Hockey League is a tier 1 AAA Amatuer Hockey League based in Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. The league formed the M.W.E.H.L. in the summer of the year 2000.
Little Caesars Amateur Hockey
Michael and Marian Ilitch, the founders of Little Caesar Pizza, began sponsorship of the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League (L.C.A.H.L.) in 1979. The league was created to increase the level of competitive play and provide more opportunities for Metro Detroit youth hockey players. Today the league consists of more than 900 travel and house teams with 16,000 youth hockey players competing in over 100 rinks in the Detroit metro area, including Joe Louis Arena.

The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) is a non-profit organization. MAHA conducts ice hockey tournaments and selects representative teams for other tournaments. We develop and encourage sportsmanship between all players for the betterment of their physical and social well-being. We also encourage and improve the standard of ice hockey in the State of Michigan.
