Michael has been involved in youth hockey
Michael has been involved in youth hockey in the Detroit area for the past twelve years, coaching at the A, AA and AAA levels. He has helped coach two State Championship teams, one of which went on to become a National Finalist at the Pee Wee AA level. In his youth, Coach Young played for Bloomfield Hills Andover High School in the early 70's and made the All State Honorable Mention team. Last year he served as Head Coach for the USA Eagles Girls 15-U, taking the young team to the Tier II State Finals, the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League Championship game, and two championships in Ontario tournaments. The 2003-04 season will be his first year with the Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club.
He holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from Eastern Michigan University. He is currently Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Faurecia Automotive Systems.
