Wings host book drive vs. Sharks
DETROIT -- The Red Wings will host a collection to benefit pediatric cancer patients at this Wednesday's game against the San Jose Sharks. Fans who donate a youth-friendly or children's book or movie will have the opportunity to win autographed Red Wings' memorabilia. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

Donations and items from this event will be given to local pediatric cancer patients as part of coach Mike Babcock's ongoing partnership with the Jeffrey Thomas Hayden Foundation (JTHF).

The mission of the JTHF is to increase awareness about Pediatric brain tumors and provide education and support to affected families. In addition, the foundation raises money to fund worthy causes, like academic scholarships, research, and assist other support organizations with a focus on finding a balance between the best available treatments with the best quality of life.
