Red Wings 2007-08 preseason & regular-season schedules
DETROIT -- The  Red Wings today announced their 2007-08 schedule. The Wings will open the “Fire on Ice” season on October 3rd with a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Final vs. the defending Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks.
Additional schedule highlights include eight Friday night home games including matchups with Chicago, San Jose (twice) and Colorado; the first visit to Joe Louis Arena by Washington Capitals phenom Alexander Ovechkin (Dec. 17); and the Wings’ traditional home games on New Year’s Eve and the night before Thanksgiving—this year both games are against St. Louis.
Red Wings season-ticket information was mailed out on Friday, July 13.
