Quincey returns to action in Grand Rapids

DETROIT – The Red Wings announced Friday that they have assigned defenseman Kyle Quincey
to the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Quincey, 22, suffered a broken hand during training camp in Traverse City and was placed on injured reserve before going to Grand Rapids for a rehabilitation assignment.
Last season, Quincey totaled 22 points, including 18 assists in 65 games for the Griffins, while recording an assist in six regular-season contests with Detroit and logging 13 games during the Stanley Cup playoffs.
