Puck drop at 3 p.m. for Wings-Predators

DETROIT – The Red Wings’ home game against Nashville on Sunday, March 9 -- the same day that Daylight Savings Time begins in the United States -- will start at 3 p.m. EDT.

The game can be seen live on FSN Detroit.

The start time for this game was originally on hold, waiting for the NHL and NBC to decide which March 9 contest to broadcast nationally on the network.

Today, NBC Sports announced that the Pittsburgh Penguins at Washington Capitals game has been chosen as the marquee Game of the Week for March 9. As part of the league’s new ‘flexible scheduling; the Pens-Caps game will air in NBC's exclusive broadcast window at 12:30 p.m. EDT.

The Red Wings are 2-2-0 against the Predators this season. The two Central Division clubs will meet four times in March, including three games at Joe Louis Arena.
