Wings sign prospect Parkes

DETROIT -- The Red Wings announced today that the club has signed forward Trevor Parkes to a three-year entry level contract. In accordance with team policy, additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Parkes, 19, was invited to training camp on an amateur tryout. The Fort Erie, Ontario native spent last season playing for the Montreal Juniors of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He finished the season with 47 points (27-20-47) and 34 penalty minutes in 66 games. He also notched seven points (6-1-7) in 14 postseason games for Montreal.
