DETROIT -- The Red Wings on Friday recalled goalie Thomas McCollum and forwards Willie Coetzee, Francis Pare and Tomas Tatar from the Grand Rapids Griffins.
In addition, the Griffins today released five players from training camp tryouts, including defenseman Nick Duff and forwards Trent Daavettila, Ryan Howarth, Robin Richards and Gary Steffes.
After concluding their training camp in Detroit this weekend, the Griffins will hold their first local practice on Monday, Oct. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Griff’s IceHouse.
