Wings sign Fournier to entry-level deal
Offensive defenseman gets three-year contract

DETROIT -- The Red Wings today announced that the club has signed defenseman Gleason Fournier to a three-year entry-level contract. In accordance with team policy, additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Fournier, 19, was Detroit’s second selection in the third round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (90th overall). The St-Fabien, Quebec, native is currently in his fourth season with the Rimouski Oceanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Through 26 games this season, he ranks eighth among QMJHL defensemen with 22 points (5-17-22).
