Wings host first of seven Original Six nights

DETROIT -- The Red Wings host the Montreal Canadiens this Friday, Dec. 10 the first of seven Original Six Nights at Joe Louis Arena this season. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a special Red Wings and Montreal trading card set courtesy of Upper Deck.
This Friday’s eight-card set includes cards of current Red Wings Nicklas Lidstrom and Darren Helm along with Detroit legends Gordie Howe and Terry Sawchuk. Three Montreal players are featured in the set as current players Brian Gionta and Mike Cammalleri are joined by Canadien great Jean Beliveau. The set also includes a special 25% discount code for Wings fans to use at the UpperDeckStore.com.
Fans at The Joe also will be treated to a special Original Six opening video narrated by Red Wings alumnus Mickey Redmond, the old-time hockey sounds of organ music featuring organist Dave Calendine and special deals at the JLA merchandise stands including $30 in JLA food and beverage coupons with the purchase of any Red Wings jersey (Jerseys must be purchased at the pro shop behind section 202B or at the Custom Jersey Stand behind section 217B).
Game time for this Friday’s game at Joe Louis Arena is 7 p.m. EST due to television coverage by CBC.
