Datsyuk injured vs. Canucks
DETROIT – The Red Wings have lost superstar center Pavel Datsyuk for the night after he left the game in the first period of Wednesday’s contest with the Vancouver Canucks at Joe Louis Arena.

Datsyuk, who leads the Red Wings in scoring this season with 12 goals and 27 assists, was injured when he fell awkwardly in front of the Canucks’ net. He skated to the Wings’ bench favoring his right side.

He skated more than 5-minutes on eight shifts.

Datsyuk has missed only three regular-season games since the 2007-08 season.
