DETROIT -- The 2010-11 edition of the Red Wings will kick off their second-half home schedule on Friday, February 4 at 7:30 p.m. EST with an intra-divisional tilt versus All-Star forward Rick Nash and the Columbus Blue Jackets (FOX Sports Detroit & 97.1 The Ticket). This match will serve as the fifth of six Meijer Kids Nights to be staged at Joe Louis Arena this season, with the first 2,500 fans (aged 12 & under) in attendance set to receive a free hockey puck-shaped pillow compliments of the Red Wings and Meijer.

In addition to an exciting giveaway promotion, fans attending the penultimate Meijer Kids Night of the season will also be treated to a special pre-game ceremony honoring the Red Wings’ Carhartt Hardest Working Player of the Month for January.

The sixth and final Meijer Kids Night of 2010-11 will take place on Friday, March 11 (puck drop – 7:30 p.m.) at The Joe and will pit Detroit against last year’s first overall draft pick Taylor Hall and the youth-laden Edmonton Oilers. A limited-edition Red Wings lunch box will be distributed to the first 2,500 fans aged 12 & under in attendance at JLA when Detroit looks to complete a four-game sweep of their season series with Edmonton.

Tickets to both upcoming Meijer Kids Nights can be obtained as part of the Red Wings’ PLAYOFF FEVER 5-PACK, currently available for purchase online (DetroitRedWings.com) and at the Joe Louis Arena box office at 313-396-7575.
