DETROIT -- An electric Joe Louis Arena crowd saw the Detroit Red Wings force a Game 7 vs. San Jose in the final home game of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs.  It was described by fans as the “loudest and most energetic game ever” and fans can lock in the chance to continue that excitement on Sept. 1st when single-game tickets to every Wings home game in 2011-12 go on sale.

The record 24 fan-friendly games scheduled for Friday, Saturday or Sunday, a pair of home games vs. the Sharks, matchups vs. Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals, former Michigan State goaltender Ryan Miller and the Buffalo Sabres, and Red Wings legend Steve Yzerman’s Eastern Conference-finalist Tampa Bay Lightning are all available for fans to select, as are all 12 home games vs. Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis and Columbus as the Wings look to defend their Central Division title.

In addition to the great on-ice matchups available, an incredible list of theme nights and giveaways will be available to all Wings fans throughout the season including: six Bobblehead Thursdays featuring Nicklas Lidstrom, Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and more; the Red Wings honor our armed forces throughout the season with Military Monday’s and a special Veteran’s Day celebration on Nov. 11 that include a Red Wings/Military dog tag giveaway sponsored by 3-Dimensional Services Group;  Two-fer Tuesday’s with great Two-fer deals for fans on merchandise and concessions; and Meijer Kids’ Days with giveaways of Red Wings lunch boxes, hockey puck banks, superhero capes and more.

Fans can still lock in the great savings below box office pricing by becoming a Red Wings season-ticket holder.  Full season ticket packages as well as 10 and 20 Game Plans are currently available.   These plans allow Wings fans to take advantage of the many benefits of becoming a Red Wings season ticket holder including a New Ticket Trade Program, increased savings off Box Office prices, bonus tickets to select regular-season home games, private presales, exclusive team events and more!  Contact the Red Wings Ticket Sales & Service Office at 313-396-7575 or visit DetroitRedWings.com.

The single game tickets for the entire 2011-12 season go on sale beginning at Noon on Sept. 1st at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office, all TicketMaster locations including The Hockeytown Café, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy, or charge by phone at 800-745-3000.  Fans also can purchase tickets via the web by visiting DetroitRedWings.com.
