DETROIT -- The closing round of voting in the Red Wings’ Operation: Bobblehead campaign has come to an end, with Hockeytown fan favorite Todd Bertuzzi having emerged victorious from the week-long finals where he was pitted against teammates Niklas Kronwall and Justin Abdelkader. The veteran winger amassed nearly 500,000 combined votes at DetroitRedWings.com and Facebook.com/DetroitRedWings during the voting period to join Pavel Datsyuk (Oct. 13), Henrik Zetterberg (Nov. 3), Johan Franzen (Dec. 8), Daniel Cleary (Jan. 12) and Nicklas Lidstrom (Apr. 5) as the players to be featured in the Red Wings’ season-long Bobblehead Thursdays promotion.
 
Bertuzzi’s likeness will now be emblazoned upon the 6½ inch polyresin figurines set to be distributed to the first 7,500 fans in attendance for the Red Wings’ February 23 showdown with the Western Conference champion Vancouver Canucks. Single-game tickets to all Red Wings 2011-12 home contests go on sale this coming Thursday, September 1 at noon at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office (313-396-7575), all Ticketmaster (800-745-3000) outlets and online at DetroitRedWings.com.
