Red Wings recall Raedeke from Griffins
Smith reassigned to AHL; Detroit wraps up pre-season schedule on home ice later today versus Pittsburgh

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today announced that forward Brent Raedeke, 21, has been recalled from the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL). Detroit has also announced that defenseman Brendan Smith, 22, has been reassigned to the Griffins.
The Red Wings’ 2011 exhibition schedule concludes later today when the Pittsburgh Penguins pay a visit to the Motor City for a 5:00 p.m. showdown at Joe Louis Arena. Pittsburgh defeated Detroit by a score of 3-2 in the first game of the pre-season for both teams back on September 21 at Western Pennsylvania’s CONSOL Energy Center.
