Wings launch 'Game Day: All Access'
Digital initiative set to engage fans from their morning alarm to the final buzzer
Beginning at 8:00 a.m. and wrapping up shortly after the conclusion of the match, Game Day: All Access includes a variety of elements such as special offers on corporate partners’ goods and services, exclusive behind-the-scenes LIVE footage of Red Wings players, coaches and front office personnel preparing for the match, and special ticket and merchandise offers.
“We want our fans to be able to feel like they’re a part of the action from the moment they wake up in the morning until the final buzzer sounds at The Joe,” says Executive Producer, Event Entertainment Ayron Sequeira. “This endeavor will help us strengthen the connection between the team and our fans in a new and exciting way.”
Red Wings Game Day: All Access is expected to be implemented on several more occasions this season. A full itinerary for today's launch can be found below:
8:00 a.m. – A special Tim Hortons offer will be sent out via text message (to WINGS, 21732 subscribers) as well as on the Red Wings’ social media channels (Twitter & Facebook)
10:25 a.m. – Red Wings Radio Personality Ken Kal hosts a live Game Day Preview Show presented by Comerica Bank live on DetroitRedWings.com (featuring special guests)
10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m – The Red Wings’ morning skate will stream live at DetroitRedWings.com
1:00 p.m. – If you missed it live, Ken Kal’s Game Day Preview Show presented by Comerica Bank will be posted on DetroitRedWings.com
4:00 p.m. – Player arrival at JLA and arena employees preparing for the game will stream live on DetroitRedWings.com
4:30 p.m. – Opening night dress rehearsals stream live from The Joe on DetroitRedWings.com
5:30 p.m. – Doors to Joe Louis Arena open to the public
7:00 – 10:00 p.m. – Food and drink specials offered at Hockeytown Café in Downtown Detroit
10:30 p.m. – A full Detroit-Ottawa game recap will be posted on DetroitRedWings.com
FANS ASKED TO BE IN THEIR SEATS BY 6:50 p.m. FOR OPENING NIGHT SHOW
Shot using a state-of-the-art Phantom Flex HD camera, this year’s exciting new opening video will showcase the intensity of in-game action from a player’s point of view while also honoring the rich history of hockey in the Motor City. Following this special video presentation, Detroit’s 2011-12 roster will be introduced in advance of an on-ice tribute to the members of the Red Wings family lost in the recent Yaroslavl Lokomotiv tragedy in Russia. Fans are asked to be in their seats by 6:50 p.m. in order to experience the festivities in their entirety.
