DETROIT – Longtime Red Wings broadcaster and Foster Hewitt Award recipient Mickey Redmond and Director of Scouting and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Mark Howe will be honored during a pre-game ceremony at Joe Louis Arena on Wednesday, November 23, prior to Detroit’s 7:00 p.m. match versus Calgary.  All fans in attendance for this Western Conference battle will receive a free commemorative poster featuring both Redmond and Howe.

Delegates from the HHOF will be on hand for the proceedings on Wednesday, with several display cases featuring memorabilia from throughout Redmond and Howe’s careers set to be erected on the main concourse at The Joe (behind section 106). Various artifacts from the Hall’s extensive collection of hockey-related paraphernalia will also be on display for fans to check out.

The Red Wings’ Game Day: All Access promotion is also set to return tomorrow, once again affording fans the opportunity to experience the complete spectrum of a game day in Hockeytown from a variety of vantage points. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. and wrapping up shortly after the conclusion of the match, Game Day: All Access provides fans with exclusive LIVE behind-the-scenes footage of Red Wings players and coaches preparing for the game along with special ticket, merchandise and sponsor-related offers. Fans are able to experience this unique initiative via text alert, Twitter, Facebook and by visiting DetroitRedWings.com throughout the day as the team readies to take on Calgary.

The Red Wings will also be kicking off their annual Toys for Tots campaign at Wednesday’s game. Representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will be on hand at each entrance of Joe Louis Arena to collect toys, which will then be distributed to needy children in Metro Detroit around the holidays. Fans who donate a new toy or make a monetary donation will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win an autographed, game-used Red Wings player stick.

Tickets to the Red Wings’ Thanksgiving Eve showdown with the Flames are available at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office (313-396-7575), all Ticketmaster (800-745-3000) outlets, and online at DetroitRedWings.com.
