Wings reassign Brunnstrom to Griffins

DETROIT – The Red Wings today announced that 26-year-old forward Fabian Brunnstrom has been reassigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL). Brunnstrom has appeared in four games for the Red Wings (0G-1A-1P) and two games for the Griffins (1G-1A-2P) thus far on the 2011-12 campaign, his first with the organization.
The Red Wings (12-7-1) will next face the Bruins in Boston (13-7-0) this coming Friday, November 25 in the inaugural NHL Thanksgiving Showdown. This match will air live on NBC beginning at 1:00 p.m. Detroit’s next home game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 26 at 7:00 p.m. versus the Nashville Predators.
