DETROIT — The Detroit Red Wings and Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop are pleased to announce the return of the “I Love the Red Wings” Donut, a specially-themed Vanilla Dip donut decorated with red and white sprinkles. The Red Wings Donut will be available in all Detroit-area Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop restaurants beginning February 10 through 14.

Proceeds from the sale of the special team donut will benefit The Detroit Red Wings Foundation. The Red Wings Foundation provides funds and resources to worthy causes that contribute to the growth of the sport of hockey.

Since the “I Love the Red Wings” Donut was launched in 2010, more than $22,000 has been raised for the Red Wings Foundation. This year local Tim Hortons owners have set a goal of raising another $20,000 from donut sales.

“We are thrilled to be able to help support our Detroit professional sports teams, including the Red Wings,” said Walter Bender Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop local owner. “The team’s support of the growth of hockey is a mission that would make our founder and namesake, Tim Horton, proud.”

Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop is the official coffee of the Red Wings and the official coffee served at Joe Louis Arena. The limited-time-only Red Wings Donut retails for $.85.
