Andersson reassigned to Griffins
Detroit squares off with Nashville tonight at Bridgestone Arena

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today announced that forward Joakim Andersson has been reassigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL). Andersson, 23, appeared in his fifth career NHL game last night, logging 6:17 worth of ice time and going 4-for-5 in the face-off circle during Detroit’s 4-3 home win over the L.A. Kings.
Currently in possession of a 44-21-3 record, the Red Wings will take on the Nashville Predators (39-21-7) later tonight (8:00 p.m. ET – FSD & WXYT 1270 AM) at Bridgestone Arena. Detroit’s next home game is scheduled to be staged on Monday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m. versus Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.
