Sunday\'s game is sold out
DETROIT – The Red Wings today announced that Sunday’s home playoff game versus the Nashville Predators (12:00 p.m. – NBC & 97.1 The Ticket) has officially sold out. This will be the 70th consecutive time the Red Wings have skated before a capacity crowd of 20,066 at Joe Louis Arena. All fans in attendance for Detroit’s Game 3 (Home Playoff Game 1) Quarterfinal showdown with Nashville will receive a free glow wand courtesy of MotorCity Casino Hotel.

While Sunday's contest is currently sold out, fans are encouraged to check back for the release of ticket holds from the NHL, broadcasters, etc. Releases of held tickets typically become available in the 48-hour window prior to game time and would be available at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office (313-396-7575), all Ticketmaster (800-745-3000) locations, including The Hockeytown Cafe, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy and online at DetroitRedWings.com.  For the latest updates on ticket releases and all Red Wings-related news, fans are invited to sign up for text alerts by texting "WINGS" to 21732 and to join/follow the team’s official social media feeds at Twitter.com/DetroitRedWings and Facebook.com/DetroitRedWings.

RED WINGS EXCUSE-O-MATIC HELPS FANS EXPLAIN PLAYOFF FEVER
In order to help citizens of Hockeytown justify their annual case of playoff fever to employers, coworkers, and loved ones alike, the Red Wings have launched an Excuse-O-Matic explanation generator at http://www.redwingsexcuses.com. This fun microsite allows fans to select from a variety of viable excuses that explain why they might smell like octopi, have to grow a scraggly beard, or be exhausted from watching a quadruple-overtime marathon that started in a later time zone. Fans are then able to choose which Detroit player they’d like to digitally sign off on the excuse, which can then be personalized and emailed to bosses, relatives, etc.
