BY THE NUMBERS: Kyle Quincey
By The Numbers will highlight the Red Wings on-ice accomplishments in the 2011-12 season. Each week during the off-season, By The Numbers will profile a different player on the team, focusing on their statistical highs. This week we focus on defenseman Kyle Quincey.

Played in his 250th career NHL game on March 19 against Washington. During the game, he scored a goal on goalie Braden Holtby, his second since being reacquired by the Wings on Feb. 21.

Number of shots on goal that he took during the 2011-12 season, his personal-high since debuting with the Wings in 2005. Among Wings defensemen, only Ian White had more shots on goal (196).

In 18 games played with the Wings this season, he delivered 33 hits. His average of 1.83 hits per game was fourth on the team, behind Brad Stuart, Patrick Eaves and Mike Commodore.

Accumulated 26 points during the 2011-12 season, which marks the third time in his career that he has finished a season with 25 or more points.

Number of assists he had in the playoffs, which tied Pavel Datsyuk, Valtteri Filppula and Niklas Kronwall for most assists during the series against Nashville. The two assists are the only points that Quincey has tallied during his career postseason appearances.

Number of shots that he blocked during the regular-season (70 for the Colorado Avalanche and 24 for the Wings).
