By The Numbers will highlight the Red Wings on-ice accomplishments in the 2013 season. Each week during the off-season, By The Numbers will profile a different player on the team, focusing on their statistical highs. This week we focus on forward Johan Franzen.


Number of goals scored against Central Division opponents to lead the Red Wings. He netted two goals each against Chicago, Columbus and Nashville.


Led the Red Wings in postseason power-play goals, including a pair in a 5-4 win over Anaheim in Game 2 of the opening-round series. He also scored a PPG in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks in Game 4.


Multiple-goal game during the 2013 campaign, netting a pair in a 4-0 must-win over Phoenix (Apr. 22) in the final week of the season.


Finished second on the Red Wings' roster in goals scored during the regular season, which was the first in three seasons that he wasn't the team's overall goal scorer.


Is where he ranked on the team with his 17 assists last season, including his lone three-helper performance in the Red Wings' 5-3 win at St. Louis on Feb. 1.


Produced his worst plus/minus rating in any regular season of Stanley Cup playoffs in his eight NHL season. He was a minus or even in 13 of 14 postseason games.
