DETROIT – Detroit forward Teemu Pulkkinen has been suspended for four preseason games for boarding Chicago defenseman Michael Kostka during a preseason game in Chicago on Tuesday, September 17, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 2:16 of the first period. A major penalty and game misconduct for boarding were assessed on the play. This incident occurred on Pulkkinen's first NHL shift.
